Beach patrols resume for the current season on Sunday 1 October. The Patrol Roster for Season 2017_18 can be found here.
The Club has recently updated its gym policy. All users should familiarise themselves with the policy which can be found here.
Welcome to the 2017-18 Surf Life Saving Season at Floreat Beach. Membership renewals and new registrations are now open!
This year we have changed our registration process and we need you to complete 4 simple steps through a ‘self-serve’ process:
Follow our straightforward registration instructions, which can be found here. By registering through the Members Portal you will now be able to sign up for training and be able to view your personal details, awards and patrols hours throughout the season. Follow our step-by-step guide, ensuring you select “Floreat” as your nominated Club during the registration process.
Renewing members who have completed their minimum required patrolling hours last season (ie 32 hours) are entitled to the newly introduced fee rebate scheme (which applies to both membership and gym fees) and should make their payment through the Club office rather than the Payment Gateway to ensure the correct amount is calculated.
We look forward to seeing you on the beach!

The Board recently completed its review of the Club’s membership fees for the 2017/18 season, which were approved at the Club's AGM.
The Club's membership fee schedule for the 2017/18 season can be found here.
This season we are looking to better align our fee structure to specific membership categories rather than basing them only on the number of participating family members. We are however retaining our discount structure for larger families and have also implemented a fee reduction and rebate scheme for those Members who seek and maintain lifesaving awards and for those who patrol the required minimum number of patrol hours in the prior season. The Director of Life Saving will determine the required minimum number of patrol hours prior to each season, based on factors such as the number of patrols; required hours on the beach; and our commitments to SLSWA and the Town of Cambridge.
The minimum number of patrol hours required for the 2016/17 season was 32 hours. The minimum number of patrol hours required for the 2017/18 season is 31 hours. Entitlement to the fee rebate is based on your completion of the minimum number of patrol hours in the prior season. The Club Registrar will ensure that those members entitled to receive the rebate off their fees for this year have their fee schedule adjusted prior to payments being processed.
The rebate structure applies to both membership and gym fees. Please note that the Club has now removed the initial subsidy on gym membership for patrol members. Gym fees however remain heavily discounted for active Club Members (and as above an additional rebate will apply for those gym users who seek and retain lifesaving awards and who patrolled the minimum required hours in the prior season). Our objective remains to ensure both a competitive and fair benefit is available to Club Members whilst ensuring the sustainability of the facility and the ability to replace and upgrade equipment as required.
The Club’s standard Membership Year will continue to run from 1 September to 31 August (Associate Gym membership periods may vary). Membership fees are due and payable with registration. Outstanding fees must be fully settled within one (1) month of registrations being lodged.
